Whatsapp would soon stop working on Blackberry and some other devices

Whatsapp new features
Another Facebook associated social platform, Whatsapp which records millions of active users and climbing the ladder of dominance in instant messaging, has disclosed it’s plans to drop it’s support for All Blackberry Devices including those running the OS10 software, by the end of 2016.

Blackberry isn’t the only device going to be removed from the list of supported devices. Other device platforms includes Nokia S40, Nokia Symbian S60, Android 2.1, Android 2.2, and Windows Phone 7.1.
Their disclosed reason for this is to focus only on platforms that the vast majority of people use.
From a blog post, they disclosed this below;

“While these mobile devices have been an important part of our story, they don’t offer the kind of capabilities we need to expand our app’s features in the future”. “If you use one of these affected mobile devices, we recommend upgrading to a newer Android, iPhone, or Windows Phone before the end of 2016 to continue using WhatsApp.”
